COACHES & TRAINING
BECOMING A VOLUNTEER COACH* - If you wish to become a coach, or you have a parent you wish to add to your age groups volunteer coaches, they will need to complete a DBS for TW Eagles (even if you have one), Safeguarding course, and First Aid course. This can take up to 4 weeks, and no one is allowed to be a volunteer coach without being approved. To become a volunteer coach or add a new volunteer coach to your age group volunteer coaching team, please email the club via tweagles2023@gmail.com with their name, email address, and the club will action the start of the process. Any DBS check that is not instructed by the club will not be valid for use.
NEW PLAYERS - If you have someone interested in joining, but wants to try out first, please ask their parent to complete the ‘Free Trial’ form (see top right of homepage). This gives them a free two-week membership. After this period, they will need to join the club to continue attending training sessions. All other players (including coaches’ children) must be registered to participate in training sessions.
ATTENDANCE SHEETS - Coaches must complete an attendance list for every training session. Please do complete the form in your coach’s bag, and if you require additional sheets, please email the club.
SAFEGUARDING & FIRST AID COURSE* - Must be completed by all new coaches and existing coaches every three years. Please get in touch with Fee Nicholson once you have received your DBS certificate, who will send you a link to the Safeguarding course and will advise you of the dates of the next First Aid course. Info on this course can be accessed via this LINK.
PLAYER KITS - All players are entitled to ‘club kit’, which is a club shirt. For any players who need a new kit, please ask their parents to send the club an email (tweagles2023@gmail.com) with sizes, and we will arrange for them. If the shirt is not in stock, it could take up to 6 weeks. Shirts that are not ordered via the club will not be eligible for reimbursement. The kit supplier is Kitlocker, and the shirt is a red and white reversible shirt. Eagles logo/copy available upon request from Kitlocker when ordering.
EQUIPMENT - If you require any equipment, please send an email here, and we will see what is available and what we can get. We will try to get back to you as quickly as possible, but allow up to 4 weeks. If you wish to purchase the kit sooner, please just send the club email (tweagles2023@gmail.com) a photo of your receipt, and we will re-imburse you. Any purchases over £50 will require authorisation from Arun. Kit that is not ordered via the club will not be applicable for reimbursement.
HALL BOOKINGS: - As of 01 November 2025, all hall bookings must have a hirer’s agreement (with details on the terms of the agreement and cancellation terms), a risk assessment signed off by a Director of our organisation (will involve a site visit), and a schedule of payment. No hall bookings will be approved until all the above documents are in place and agreed by a Director of our organisation.
FRIENDLIES - If you would like to arrange a friendly with GN Gravesend, Bexley Tigers, or Maidstone Warriors, please find the coaches’ details. If you need to book the TWBGS venue (or another), please advise Arun 6 weeks in advance, and we can see if your team has the budget to cover the cost / needs to be charged for.
*Costs for all DBS approval, Safeguarding, and first aid courses requested from 01 Oct 2025 will need to be covered by the incoming coach.
